Thank you for your inquiry to the Greater Akron Chamber’s 105th Annual Meeting at the John S. Knight Convention center on Thursday, March 15th. Our R.S.V.P. online access is no longer available after 5:00pm on March 8th ; at this time, please call (330) 376-5550 to speak with a Chamber associate to reserve seats and arrange payment information.

This important, once-a-year event is designed to celebrate your Chamber membership and to introduce your staff, associates and preferred customers to the exciting accomplishments of your Chamber. The annual meeting is open to all employees of any member's company. Future members who are interested in learning more about the Chamber are also welcome.


THE H. PETER BURG AWARD

This year, we will honor Steven Marks, Co-CEO of Main Street Gourmet and Founder of the Akron Marathon, with the prestigious H. Peter Burg Award. 2012 Officers and Board of Directors Nominations

The Greater Akron Chamber Board of Directors is recommending a By-Laws revision and nominees to serve on the Greater Akron Chamber Board. These recommendations will be voted on by the membership at the Greater Akron Chamber's 105th Annual Meeting on March 15, 2012. *Revised Code of Regulations
The redline version of the Code of Regulations proposes the following changes:

• Amend the Code of Regulations to change the Vice Chair of Talent to Vice Chair of Workforce and Talent.
• Change the Vice Chair of Advocacy to Vice Chair of Government Affairs.
• Modify the Chair-Elect language in the Code of Regulations, allowing flexibility for not electing a Chair-Elect during the first year of a Board Chair's term.
• Change number of Board members from 45 to 54, due to the move of 7 members with Ex-Officio status to Director status with a term.
