The Props and Pistons Festival, at Akron Fulton Airport, is a community style festival to educate the public in aviation related topics, through vendors, expert discussions, historic aircraft displays, military displays, and civil aircraft displays. The family centered event has an emphasis on STEM and potential careers in aviation. Our year round outreach programs, funded by the festival, includes scholarships, "Pilot for a Day" (children with long term illnesses), classroom sessions on aviation topics and careers, mobile flight simulators, and a Veteran remembrance ceremony.
