The Olive Branch Initiative is a non-profit 501 (C) 3 corporation and offers a second chance to the disadvantaged. We focus on education, skilled on-the-job training, and employment placement. Our services for each individual are determined by the extent of their job readiness and may initially include social services. Our clients include veterans, the homeless, recovering substance abusers, felons, and the mentally/physically challenged, all of whom are referred by community partnering agencies, the judicial system, or self-referrals. Our goals are to extend a branch to bridge the unemployment/underemployment gap by offering skilled trades that provide higher wages, so clients can support themselves and their families without public assistance. Because Our program uses holistic concepts in its training courses, our client's self-esteem is increased, which produces a new mindset and a new beginning that results in confident productive citizens who contribute to their community.
